About The Jason Raines Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Jason Raines Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to building a strong and professional workforce for the Brazos Valley.  Established in 2005, the JRMT provides scholarship opportunities for students in Bryan, College Station and Centerville High Schools that are interested in workforce education.  We recognize our communities’ need for a more qualified local workforce.  The JRMT is one of the few scholarship funds that provide local kids with the opportunity to receive the education and training needed to begin and continue their careers in the Brazos Valley.   

The Brazos Valley is experiencing a record amount of growth, and our local workforce is overwhelmed.  This is causing more and more outsourcing of jobs to towns outside of the Brazos Valley.  As a small business owners, we are blessed to have so much opportunity here, but we need to be conscious of the amount of money we are sending out of our community.  The JRMT is working to keep the hard earned money of our local businesses here in the Brazos Valley.
